WHO WE ARE

Simply put, our mission is to wage war on ovarian cancer.

We fight this war for ourselves, our daughters, our sisters, our mothers, our wives, and our friends. We fight for those vibrant, loving, wonderful women who have lost their personal battles with the thief of dreams, lives, and futures, We fight every day.

In our war, we are attacking this killer on several fronts. Our weapons are the dollars we raise to support research and education. We seek to fund promising research projects in universities and hospitals throughout the country focusing our early detection methods and treatment of ovarian cancer. We also educate women, their families, and the general public about the symptoms of the disease to encourage women to seek medical assistance early. Early detection overwhelming increases a women's chances of defeating this foe.

This enemy is silent and deadly. It kills without remorse. Thousands of women are victims each year. On its current course, one in fifty women will be forced to fight this war for her own life. Join us in arming your daughter, your mother, your wife, your friend or yourself for this fight.

WHAT WE DO

We help raise awareness and promote education about ovarian cancer. We are committed to improving the survival rate and quality of life for women with ovarian cancer. We also raise money through various community events that help to fund research. To date, we have raised more than $300,000.

WHY WE CARE

The American Cancer Society reported that Ovarian cancer ranks fifth in cancer deaths among women, accounting for more deaths than any other cancer of the female reproductive system. It is estimated that in 2007 about 22,340 new cases of ovarian cancer will be diagnosed and about 15,280 deaths will occur in the United States alone. (source- American Cancer Society).
