The 5th Annual
MOTHERWALK 2008
Will be held Saturday May 10, 2008. This year's MOTHERWALK will be an event filled weekend! Best selling author, Kris Radish (www.krisradish.com), is coming to Birmingham to help host the walk and serve as this year's emcee. There will be a book signing and lecture, as well as a spectacular cocktail party featuring L.A. jazz stylist, Tera Johnson, the Saturday evening of the event. Stay tuned for more details!
MOTHERWALK 2008 is just around the corner and this will be the biggest and best yet! We could not be more excited with all the details, and this year we are even more excite to had Kris Radish (www.krisradish.com), best selling author, coming for the entire weekend. This year's MOTHERWALK will be a weekend filled with all types of terrific events. Here are the details...
Friday, May 9
- 6:00 pm - Come have a dream date with Kris Radish! She will be talking dreams, life, love, books, red wine, cold beer, mothers and daughters, fabulous friends or whatever you want to discuss at this book signing at Barnes & Noble at the Summit. We are going to have a really good time.
Saturday, May 10
- 8:00 am - Walk up registration opens for MOTHERWALK 2008. This year, registration will be at Mountain Brook City Hall. If you are part of a team, you will want to get there early to check in and have your picture made with your team.
- 9:00 am - The Official start of the 5th Annual Motherwalk. We will begin the walk in front of Mountain Brook City Hall on Church Street in Crestline Village. This year's 3 mile walk will take us through the scenic neighborhoods of Mountain Brook. We encourage you to bring your entire family. The walk is for serious walkers, as well as, those who simply want to take a stroll and enjoy the beauty of the day.
- 7:00 pm - Our Post-Event Benefit will be a night of casual fun! Including great food, cocktails, dancing and music from L.A. jazz stylist, Tera Johnson. There you will be able to visit with the best selling author, Kris Radish. It is sure to be a night you won't forget. If you are interested in attending this event e-mail tiffany@nlovca.org.
We hope that you will mark your calendars and to attend this year's event. Also, if you are interested in setting up a team to walk in honor or in memory of a loved one all you will need is a minimum of 5 walkers and a team captain. Then e-mail tiffany@nlovca.org to set up your team.

In April 2008, the Steamboat Chapter will host a silent auction/event called "EGGS2OVARIES". This event will be introduced to the community as a fundraiser done elegant, western style.
