How to help
Volunteers are needed in all capacities - computer work, phone work, setup at the walk, fundraising and many other areas. We welcome anyone who is willing to give time and energy to our cause. Our mission is to raise money for ovarian cancer research. The money will go directly to Dr. Ronnie Alvarez, Professor & Director, Division of Gynecology Oncology at The University of Alabama at Birmingham through the Norma Livingston Ovarian Cancer Foundation. For every $50,000 we raise a researcher can be hired and turn that $50,000 into $500,000 by applying for grants. We are committed to changing the lives of women.
Our main goal is to save lives one by one. In the near future, we will sponsor several fundraising events. Our kickoff event was Mother's Day 2004. With these fundraisers we plan to reach out to the community, create awareness and educate women on the importance of annual checkups.
